McCormick Kevin B., of Walpole, formerly of Franklin and Dedham. He is survived by Sandra McCormick of Walpole, his wife and friend. Devoted father of Stephanie McCormick of West Roxbury, Thomas McCormick and his wife, Melissa, of Mansfield, and cherished Papa of Elise and Thomas. He was the brother of Leo McCormack of Mashpee and predeceased by his parents, M. Leo McCormick, Anne (Deyesso) McCormick, and his sister, Helen McCormick.
Kevin grew up in Roxbury and Roslindale, and he graduated from Boston Technical High School in 1961. He became a bricklayer and member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen Union Local 3. In 1974, with much enthusiasm and determination, Kevin started his own masonry construction company, where he earned the respect and friendship of his business associates, fellow contractors, and employees.
Kevin was an avid sports fan who wouldn’t back down from spirited debates about players and teams. He had a deep love for his two dogs, Muffin and Cookie. They were constant companions that brought him endless joy. Kevin cherished his St. Martin trips where he was able to spend time with his son and close friends. He was a true music lover, his favorite being Motown. He enjoyed watching old movies, and he took pride in his vast wardrobe of flowered shirts, cashmere sweaters, leather jackets, and alligator shoes. Above all, Kevin’s greatest joy in life was his family. Their well being was always his prime concern. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his memory will live on in our hearts.
