Obituary

Hubbardston – Ronald J. Bourque, 69, of Hubbardston and formerly of Worcester, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025, in UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus after a brief illness.

Ron was married for 40 years to the love of his life, Linda (Underwood) Bourque, who died in 2022. He is survived by a son, Jamie Bourque of Laurens, SC; a daughter, Nicole Trudeau and her husband, Josh of Berwick, ME; a grandson, Jace Trudeau; a granddaughter, Krystal Trudeau; his brother, Raymond Bourque and his wife, Jean of Boylston; a sister, Yvette Dupuis and her husband, Clesson of Worcester and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mr. Bourque was born in Worcester, son of the late William J. and Eveline M. (Richard) Bourque. He proudly served in the United States Army and then in the Massachusetts Army National Guard for 20 years.

Ron worked as an electrician for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and later for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals after they acquired Wyeth in 2009.

He loved being outdoors, especially taking walks with his dog or hiking the various trails throughout the state parks. Ron visited the Veterans of Foreign War, Gardner Post on a weekly basis and enjoyed being with his fellow veterans. Mr. Bourque was truly the happiest when he was with his family, he always looked forward to attending various car shows with his son and more importantly loved being with his grandchildren, of whom he cherished.

Family and friends are invited to Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Worcester on Wednesday, July 2 at 11 AM for his funeral service. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, July 1 from 4 to 7 PM and again on Wednesday from 10 to 11 before the service.
