William H. Reynolds Jr.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of William H. Reynolds Jr., age 86, who passed away peacefully on June 26, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
Born on August 22, 1938, in Mansfield, Massachusetts, William was the beloved son of Hazel and William Reynolds Sr. He was a proud graduate of Mansfield High School, where his exceptional athleticism earned him a place in the Mansfield Athletics Hall of Fame in 2001.
William, affectionately known as "Bill," went on to earn his degree from the University of Massachusetts and dedicated his career to education, serving as a teacher and athletic director at various high schools in the area. He was a mentor to many, forming lifelong bonds with students and colleagues who continued to visit him long after his retirement.
Above all, William was a devoted husband, a loving parent, and a pillar of strength and kindness to all who knew him. He loved boating, traveling, and sports, but his greatest joy came from his 65-year marriage to his beloved wife.
William is survived by his devoted wife, Patricia Reynolds (Slattery); his five children; eleven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend his graveside funeral service on Tuesday, July 1st at 12:15 P.M. at Saint Mary’s Cemetery, 1 Franklin Street, Mansfield. Those attending the services are asked to gather directly at the cemetery.
Visiting hours are omitted.
