Obituary


Elisa (Guarracino) Bastolla, 79, a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, great aunt and friend, passed away on June 25, 2025 after a brief illness. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Born on February 16, 1946, in Albanella, Italy, Elisa was one of nine children of the late Giuseppe and Maria Guarracino. In 1964, she courageously left her homeland with her husband and immigrated to the United States in search of opportunity and a better life. Settling in Woburn, she carried with her a deep love of her Italian heritage, which she kept alive through her cooking, curing meats, and baking bread. Elisa loved hosting family and friends and took pride in sharing her gifts and talents with others.

Elisa`s hands were never idle. She worked for many years as a lead seamstress at Colony Corporation in Woburn, where she was known for making high-quality window treatments with her trademark meticulous attention to detail. To know Elisa was to know kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion to family. She was the heart of every holiday, the voice of wisdom in times of need, and a constant reminder of what it means to love deeply and without condition.

Elisa was the beloved wife of Frank Bastolla and a devoted mother to their sons Nick and the late Frank Jr., who sadly passed away in 1989. Cherished sister of Vincenza Frunzo and her husband Antonio of Woburn, Sergio Guarracino and AnnMarie of Londonderry, NH, Jack Guarracino of Woburn, the late Luigi Guarracino and his wife Maria of Italy, Elio Guarracino of Italy, Alfonso Guarracino and his surviving wife Maddalena of Tewksbury, Carmine Guarracino and his surviving wife Concetta of Woburn, and the late Filiberto and Pasqualina Guarracino of Burlington. Further survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Tuesday, July 1st, from 4 to 7 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, July 2nd at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 280 Main St., Woburn, at 10 a.m. Services will conclude with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Woburn.
