Obituary

Henry Wiktorowski, 74 of Dorchester MA, passed after a long and courageous battle with cancer - a fight he quietly faced three times with incredible strength and determination.

A proud Vietnam Army Veteran, Henry served his country with honor and carried that same steadfast spirit into every chapter of his life. No matter how many times he was knocked down throughout his life, he always found a way to pick himself back up.

Henry was a man of few words, but they held weight. His presence spoke volumes. Henry was magnetic, humble and most often referred to as an absolute legend. He was as stubborn as they come, but was equally kind and compassionate with a sense of humor that left a lasting impression on everyone that knew him.

Henry found joy in the little things and embraced adventure. He lived life the way he wanted to, no matter what obstacles stood in his way. He never passed up an opportunity to explore a new place or meet new people. Whether casting a line into the water or lining up the perfect pool shot he never did anything halfway. He was always spotted behind the camera, documenting every memory spent with those who loved him, and there were a lot of good times with so many.

Henry is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Lucyna and their two daughters, Natalia of Dorchester, Nicole and her husband Michael Burke also of Dorchester and their son, his cherished Grandson Henry Burke. Henry also leaves behind his daughter Aneta Pokorski and her children Brandon and Emma as well as his son Marek Wiktorowski, all of whom he cared for deeply and always held a space in his heart.

He was predeceased by both his beloved parents, Jadwiga and Vincenty Wiktorowski and his sister Mary Piorkowski. He is survived by his brother Jerry and wife Alice of Topsfield as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends who will miss him greatly.

He will be remembered for his warmth, wit and the countless memories he shared with so many.

Family and friends are all invited to a memorial service with Military Honors that will start promptly at 12pm on Sunday June 29, 2025 at the Polish American Citizens Club of South Boston, followed by a Celebration of Life luncheon.
