Rena Marie Cosmopulos 1928- 2025 of Cyr Plantation Van Buren, Maine; Norwell and East Dennis, Massachusetts. Also, known as Reneé, passed away peacefully In Norwell at the age of 97 on June 24, 2025.
She was born April 8, 1928 on Cyr Plantation to Simeon Guy Ouellette and Marie Yvonne (Perreault). She was married to Stavros Cosmopulos (Steve) from Dorchester, Massachusetts for 56 years until his passing in 2014. She is survived by her son Nicholas Stavros Cosmopulos and daughter-in-law Susan Cosmopulos of Seekonk, Massachusetts, daughter Thea Yvonne Cosmopulos and fiancé John Salamone of Scituate, Massachusetts, brothers Nathan, Robert and his wife Carol (LaJoie), Sister-in-law Germaine (Desjardins) Ouellette all of Van Buren, Maine. She was predeceased by siblings Gerald, Elio, Louis, Yvette, Aggie, Gladys and Pauline. She leaves behind three grandsons William, Ryan and Eric, as well as, one great grandson Alexander Cosmopulos and many nieces and nephews.
She moved to Florida at an early age with her sister Gladys where she worked as a model on Worth Ave in Palm Beach. It was in Palm Beach where she met her future husband Steve. They settled down in Lakeworth Florida and started a family before moving to Massachusetts in 1963.
Reneé enjoyed spending time at their summer cottage on Cape Cod with friends and family. Spending time at the beach with her grand children was one of her special pastimes. She traveled the world with her husband, made many friends along the way and will be dearly missed by all.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a visiting hour on Saturday, June 28, 2025 in Our Lady of the Angels Parish, 392 Hanover Street, Hanover from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place in Washington St Cemetery, Norwell.
