In loving memory of Ann Johnson
With deep sadness, the family of Ann Johnson announces her peaceful passing at the age of 97 years young at her home at Cape Cod senior residences in Pocasset Massachusetts on June 18, 2025
Born in Newton, MA. Ann was the beloved daughter of the honorable Donald Earl Mayberry and Priscilla Lombard Mayberry. From an early age, she cherished summers in Dennisport on Cape Cod, where she spent long, sunny days, surrounded by family and the scent of the sea . Ann attended Centenary college and later built a life and career in Boston. In her early 20s, she married, Charles F Crocker Jr. and together they raised three children, Priscilla,Tamsin, and David eventually settling in Duxbury MA.
A creative and entrepreneurial spirit, Ann ran several small businesses over the years. She also found great joy in teaching preschool children at prodigy Christian church, work she considered among her most meaningful.
Ann loved painting, gardening, and staying connected with family and friends through handwritten letters, which she wrote with grace and care.
She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband and soulmate, Bill Johnson.
She is survived by her three children, seven grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
A private memorial will be held at a later date. She will be laid to rest in her family plot in Truro MA.
