Shaun M. Tatum, 46, of Worcester died Wednesday, June 18th leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. He leaves his children, Shakirah M. Tatum-McConner and Shakeer Tatum-McConner both of Columbia, SC; his father, Hecliff Tatum of Worcester; his brother, Michael Wilcox of Worcester; three sisters, Tikia McCoy, Shari Tatum, and Danielle Harris all of Columbia, SC; and three grandchildren, Jasiah, Kapri and Rowan. Shaun also leaves extended family including aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins in which he loved and cherished.
Born in Worcester, he was the beloved son of the late Cheryl a. (Johnson) Wilcox. Shaun was a proud member of Second Baptist Church, where he was baptized on his birthday last year – a moment of deep spiritual significance and joy.
Shaun had a vibrant and magnetic personality. He was the life of every gathering, known for his infectious smile, playful spirit, and unmatched sense of humor. He told many wild stories and brought fun and energy everywhere he went.
A passionate and talented cook, Shaun took great pride in preparing meals for family and friends. His dishes were made with love and always brought people together.
He was mischievous in the most endearing way and had a special ability to lift the spirits of those around him. Above all, Shaun deeply loved his children and held a close bond with his grandmother, whom he cherished dearly. The loss of his mother weighed heavily on his heart, and her memory remained a guiding light in his life.
Shaun will be remembered for his joyful soul, generous heart, and unwavering love for his family. His presence will be missed beyond words.
His visitation is Thursday, July 3rd from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. in Second Baptist Church, 14 Hammond Street followed by his funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, 119 Webster Street at a later date.
