Obituary

Christopher M. Camp
May 14, 1968 - June 1, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Christopher “Chris” Mark Camp of Shirley. Chris was a long time resident of Lynn. He passed on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at the age of 57. Born in the city of Pensacola, Florida on May 14, 1968, he was the son of Arthur “Tony” Camp and the late Linda Camp. Chris was raised and educated in Lynn, a proud graduate of Saint Mary’s Regional High school class of 1987.

He was a dedicated Husband to his predeceased wife, Diane Shore - Camp whom he loved for 23 years and married on February 19, 2017 in Shirley. Chris was also a loving brother to Dawn Carter, a wise father of five, a protective grandfather of nine, and a supportive great-grandfather of one.

Chris was diligent when it came to his long time job with Stop and Shop.

Chris enjoyed spending quality time with loved ones, moments with his coworkers, watching football, and teaching his grandchildren how to make his special pizza he called “yum yum.”

Chris leaves behind his two daughters Caitlyn and Jacqueline Camp of Lynn. He also leaves behind his step children whom he considered his own - Donna Corrigan along with her husband Patrick of Dighton, and Nicholas Recker ll of Scarborough, Maine.

He was preceded in death by his stepdaughter Debra Southwick-Flaherty and is grieved by her Widow, Paul Flaherty of Shirley.

His Journey’s Just Begun
by Ellen Brenneman

Don’t think of him as gone away
his Journey’s just begun.
Life holds so many facets
this earth is only one.

Just think of him as resting
from the sorrows and the tears.
In a place of Warmth and comfort
where there are no days or years.

Think how he must be wishing
that we could know today.
How nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.

And think of him as living
in the hearts of those he touched…
For nothing loved is ever lost
and he was loved so much.

With a gentle hand, the urn will be placed into the earth, a final resting place for a life well-lived. This grave plot offers a sense of permanence, a quiet space to remember the laughter and love shared. It’s a return to the earth, a peaceful conclusion to a remarkable journey.

There will be no public services. Grave plot located in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
