Born January 29, 1946, in Fitzgerald (Ben Hill County), Mrs. Gunn was the daughter of the late Thomas “Victor” Hall and Inez Fowler Hall Holton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Larry Wayne Gunn, who passed away on June 20, 2022; one daughter, Marnie Elaine Gunn; one sister, Betty Joe Hall Burgess; her step-father, Emmitt Holton; and so many of her friends and family.
Mrs. Gunn loved the Lord and shared Jesus with everyone she came in contact with. She thoroughly enjoyed taking care of her family as a homemaker; and she was a member of Lenox Baptist Church.
Mrs. Gunn is survived by one daughter, Lori Gunn Baker of Valdosta; one brother, Donnie Holton of Brookfield; one sister and brother-in-law, Darrie Holton Harnage and her husband, Wayne of Vanceville; three grandchildren, Ray Everett Baker III, Marlee Nicole Elliott and her husband Peyton, and Jackson Cole Talley; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Gunn also leaves behind the lives of so many children, touched by her love for the Lord and others whom she has taught to love Jesus. She was such an example to anyone she would meet, and also a constant reminder that Jesus loved them very much. She taught them to love Jesus. She is finally home with her Lord and Savior, and we know that her dying wish is that you come to know Him as your Lord and Savior so that she will see you again in heaven someday. Don’t shed any tears for me but celebrate my homecoming. I am finally home.
