James M. Lofstrom, 72, of Washington D.C., passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025 at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C.
Born and raised in Brockton, MA, he was the son of the late Raymond E. Lofstrom and Virginia E. (MacPherson) Lofstrom.
James served his country proudly as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy.
He worked as a Naval Criminal Investigative Service Agent for many years prior to retirement.
In 2000, James was honored as Special Agent of the Year for outstanding performance in the general crimes discipline.
Jim was an avid reader of history and also enjoyed skiing, an activity he picked up while serving in Italy.
Mr. Lofstrom is survived by his brothers, Thomas Lofstrom of Somerset MA and Raymond Lofstrom Jr, a niece, Erika Murphy of Westford, MA, and several other nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to visit with James’ family on Friday, June, 27 from 10 A.M. with a funeral service beginning at 11 A.M. at the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte. 123) Brockton. Internment will be held in Melrose Cemetery, N. Pearl St., Brockton.
