Vanessa Ann (Duff) Jones, of Worcester, MA departed this life on Saturday, June 14th surrounded by loved ones at home. She leaves behind her daughter, Keontae (Duff) Folaranmi and her husband, Tolani; two sisters, Arnita Duff and Charlene Ludd both of Maryland; a predeceased sister, Jacqueline Duff, and brother, Theodore (Teddy) Duff; nieces and nephews, many close relatives and friends.
Born in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of Theodore Duff and Bernice Berry, Vanessa dedicated much of her life to bringing joy to the lives of others. She worked at Worcester Recovery Center and Hospital for 12 years, retiring in 2023. Prior to that, she had a long and committed career of over 30 years at Norton Company. Vanessa took great pride in working and found true fulfillment in support of those around her.
A woman of deep faith, Vanessa was an active and devoted member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She cherished the connections she made through her church community and was always willing to lend a hand where needed.
Vanessa was known for her warm spirit and love for people. A true social butterfly, making friends came naturally and she found joy in bringing those she loved together. Sundays were especially meaningful to her - she never missed and opportunity to cook, host, and fill her home with laughter and love.
She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and fellowship. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Her visitation will be on Friday, June 27th in Emmanuel Baptist Church, 717 Main Street, Worcester from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. followed by her funeral service. Burial will be in Arbutus Cemetery, Baltimore, MD.
