Obituary

With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of Jill Walsh, age 79, a beloved wife, mother, Grammy, sister Annie Sweeney (Michael), sister in law and friend, who left this world peacefully on June 18, 2025.

Jill was the kind of woman who made every room warmer just by being in it. She had a rare gift for making everyone feel seen, loved, and utterly spoiled—whether through a warm hug, a home-cooked meal, making sure she always had everyone’s favorite snacks, or the quiet way she remembered the little things that mattered most. Her love was beyond generous and always unwavering,

A devoted wife to Bill who was her very best friend for 56 years, the most amazing mother to Mark (Ellen), Kelly and Matthew (Christen), and the world’s most treasured Grammy and “Leader of the Band” to Molly (Manuel), Connor, Jack, Kiley, Maddie, Aidan, Grady, Nora, Eamonn and Maeve. Jill was also the aunt of many.

Jill’s family was her heart and in turn, they were the luckiest people on earth to have been loved by her.

Her traditions will live on in every birthday cake, every holiday table- especially Christmas Eve, every cookout at Seabrook Beach and in every quiet moment where love is felt even in silence. Jill leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity strength, and joy—a life stitched together by the countless lives she touched.

Jill's funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 23, 2025, at 11 AM in st. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover. All are welcome to attend. Visitation will be held in the church, prior to the mass, from 10 AM to 11 AM. Interment will be privately held. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, an organization Jill loved. We also ask you to honor her memory by loving your family and friends deeply, and never passing up the chance to make someone feel special—just as she always did.

Jill was, and always will be, the heart of our family. We miss her already. Jill's family would like to sincerely thank the loving care our mother received at High Pointe House in Haverhill from their incredible staff.
