Obituary

Joseph S. ‘Joe’ D’Angelo, 82 of Tewksbury, passed away peacefully at Lowell General Hospital on Thursday, June 12, 2025. He was the husband of the late Rosemarie (Castellano) D’Angelo, who passed away in 2022 after 51 years of marriage.
 
He was born and raised in Charlestown on March 20, 1943, and was the youngest son of the late Anthony and Antoinette (Busch) D’Angelo. He later relocated to Somerville, where he met his beloved wife.
 
He dedicated over 30 years of his career to Solo Cup, where he built lasting friendships until his retirement.
 
Joe had a lifelong love of sports, especially basketball and rooting on the Boston Celtics. He enjoyed staying active by walking, swimming, mini golfing, batting cages, basketball, and candlepin bowling. Known for his great sense of humor, he was a jokester who loved making people laugh and playing harmless pranks. Above all, Joe will be remembered for his kindness and his unwavering devotion to caring for those around him.
 
Joe was the loving father to his son, Joseph D’Angelo and his partner Jennifer Jenkins of Manchester, NH; and his daughter Lisa Qualters of Tewksbury. A loving grandfather to his granddaughter, Jessica Qualters and her partner Andrew Correia of Tewksbury. He is also survived by his siblings, Anthony D'Angelo, Mary Ede, John D'Angelo, and Carol Tuttle; and many nieces and nephews.
 
In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, the late Diana Ciampa, the late Rose DiMauro, the late Evelyn Chase, the late Rocco D’Angelo, and the late Dorothy Dugan.
 
You are invited to his visitation on Sunday, June 22, 2025, from 3 until 6 p.m. at Tewksbury Funeral Home, 1 Dewey Street, Tewksbury, MA.
 
His funeral service will take place in the funeral home at 6 p.m. following visitation.
