Dernienese Eugene Daniel, suddenly and sadly passed away at her home in Brockton, Massachusetts on June 2nd 2025 from natural causes. Dernienese was born to Mr. Augustin Eugene and Mrs Ermilia Bernard, on July 31st 1947 in the Deuxieme Section, Habitation Laveux, in Port-De-Paix Haiti. She was the youngest of 9 children. She attended Abraham Lincoln Secondary School, in Port-Au-Prince and later migrated to Montreal Canada where she attended college in nursing. Later, while in Montreal, she met the love of her life, Murat Daniel. The two began dating and married in 1974. A year later, they had their first child, a daughter, Muryelle Daniel. Murat then moved to the United States and, soon Dernienese followed her husband, and they settled in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston. They had their 2nd child in 1986, Jodel Daniel. Dernienese worked as a Nurses Aid and home health aide. She also ran a successful day care business. Her family moved back to Montreal, Canada in 1999, and then years later, once again returning back to the United States in 2017. Her beloved husband, Murat, who she supported and cared for passed away from Cancer in April of 2025. Dernienese passed away two months later in June.
She is survived by her Daughter, Muryelle Daniel, her son Jodel Daniel, daughter-in-law, Jennifer Lalane, and her Grandson Valencio Gabriel Daniel.
Funeral Services in the Trinity Baptist Church, 1367 Main Street Brockton, Saturday June 21st at 9 am. Burial to follow in Melrose Cemetery, 88 N Pearl Street Brockton. Viewing from 8 am prior to services.
