Dorothy D. Jansen, 50, of New Bedford, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at home. She was the daughter of the late Gordon R. Jansen, Sr. and the late Patricia A. (Magrath) Jansen.
Dorothy was born in New Bedford and had resided there for most of her life. She had worked as a personal care attendant and loved her patients. She loved her cats, spending time outside, tending to her plants, attending yard sales, and watching game shows. Her greatest joy though was being with her family.
Survivors include her 2 sons: Justin Jansen of New Bedford and Devin Francis of Fall River; her significant other: John Isabelle of New Bedford; 4 brothers: Gordon Jansen, Jr. of Fall River, Richard Jansen of New Bedford, Robert Jansen of New Bedford and Everett Jansen of New Bedford; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Donna Viger, Ramona Jeffries, and Mark Jansen.
Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Monday, June 23, 2025 at the Potter Funeral Home at 11:30 A.M.
Visitation will be Monday, from 10-11:30 A.M. prior to the service.
Interment to follow in Rural Cemetery, New Bedford.
