It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Meredith Anne Knowles.
A beautiful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. She passed peacefully in her sleep in the early hours of June 5th, 2025. Born in the middle of the great New England Hurricane, on September 10th, 1938, in Boston, and primarily raised in Windsor, Maine, “Anne” devoted her life to raising and cultivating our family to rest on a strong foundation of love and enjoyed many close, loving friendships throughout her life. Meredith's memorial service will be held in September around her birthday so we may all have a chance to come together and celebrate her wonderful life.
She will be greatly missed and shall always remain in our loving hearts and collective memory as the strong, stubborn and homespun Maine farm girl that loved to cook, to read, to teach, to travel and the many other skills and hobbies she learned throughout her long lifetime.
Meredith is survived by her loving children: Allan Luigi Knowles of Andover, Meredith Anne and her husband Stephen Aalto of Weymouth, and Katharine and her husband Eli Levine of Andover. Grandchildren: Robert and Katherine, Greg and Jessica Denton, Allan and Erika, Michael, and Colin Knowles, Ben and Gabriel Levine. Great-grandchildren: James, Hailey, Charlie and Katelyn Denton and niece: Janet and her husband Jorge Cabrera and their children, Hannah, Isabella and Alessandro, of Bridgewater.
