PATRICIA “Patty” L. (DOLNEY) BUTERBAUGH OBITUARY
Patricia “Patty” L. (Dolney) Buterbaugh, 81, of Cherry Tree, PA passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.
The daughter of Joseph and Ethel Dolney, she was born on March 28, 1944 in Spangler, PA.
On February 18, 1967, Patty wed Richard L. Buterbaugh. They have shared over fifty-eight years of marriage together.
Patty was an avid gardner; excellent cook and animal lover. She was an enthusiastic Steeler fan and enjoyed watching basketball and baseball. Patty will be missed by her beloved cat, Bo.
She is survived by her loving husband Richard L. Buterbaugh of Cherry Tree, PA; her children: Richard (Laurie) Buterbaugh of Middletown, PA and Christa (Scott) Rounsley of Northern Cambria, PA; her five grandchildren: Alex, Britney, Ashley, Ashton and Simon; her siblings: Judy (Rich) LeGars of Indianapolis, IN; Connie Inzana, Rochester, NY; Mary Sue (Al) Cipolla, Northern Cambria; Joan (John) Fresh, of Northern Cambria, PA and Marion Dolney of Northern Cambria, PA. She was godmother to: Suzanne Gangarosa of Rochester, NY and Timothy Dolney of Penn Run, PA and numerous nieces and nephews.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents; her in-laws: Clyde and Marie Buterbaugh; her brothers-in-law: Alton “Jay” Britton; Ronald R. Buterbaugh; sisters-in-law: Roseann Buterbaugh and Victoria Buterbaugh.
Family and friends will be received from 2-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd. in Hillsdale, PA. On Thursday, June 19, 2025 a 10:00 a.m. funeral mass will be held at the Prince Of Peace Church, 811 Chestnut Avenue, Northern Cambria, PA. Burial will take place at East Ridge Cemetery in Westover, PA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the International Myeloma Foundation, 4400 Coldwater Canyon Ave, Suite 300, Studio City, CA 91604; St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or your local Humane Society.
