SPRINGFIELD - Gisele B. "Gigi" (Lampron) Zuchara, 75, of the Sixteen Acres section of Springfield was Called Safely Home on Sunday, June 15, 2025. She passed into Eternal Life at Orchard Valley at Wilbraham in the comfort of her wonderful caregivers. She was born in Springfield on November 19, 1949, the beloved daughter of the late Maurice and Marie (Lacasse) Lampron. She was raised in Springfield and graduated from Cathedral High School, Class of 1967. She furthered her education and attended the Mansfield Beauty Academy in Springfield. She was employed for 32 years and retired in 2008 as the General Manager for East Coast Tile Imports in Ludlow. She was a communicant of Saint Catherine of Siena Church in Springfield. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, cross stitching, camping, and singing with family as "Sisters in the Woods." She loved cruising the open seas meeting many new friends along the way. Gigi and Walter also criss-crossed the country in their motor home making many memories. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and many friends. She leaves her beloved husband and best friend, Walter J. Zuchara, Jr. They were married on December 11, 1981, blessed at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Chicopee and were blessed with over 43 years of happiness together. She also leaves her four loving and devoted children, Julie Ann LeClair and her husband, Jeffrey Hulbert, of Agawam, Colette M. Sergey and her husband, Philip, of Leominster, Michelle M. B. LeClair and her companion, Wilfredo Rivera, of Springfield, and Robert E. Zuchara and his wife, Nicole, of Springfield; her eight cherished grandchildren, Dylan Marshall, Libby Sergey-Kalen and her husband, Ben, Hunter Sergey and his companion, Lucy, Jacob LeClair, Jenesis Rivera, Rainyn Rivera, Jade Zuchara, and Harper Zuchara; her dear brother, Roger Lampron and his wife, Priscilla, of Ludlow; her three dear sisters, Susan Paquette and her husband, Leo, of Bell, FL, Lorraine Buchanan and her husband, Stephen, of Chicopee, and Lisa Melanson and her husband, Steven, of Agawam; her dear step-brother, Richard Silvano of Brooklyn, CT; her three dear sisters-in-law, Loretta Dorn of Pittsburgh, PA, Winifred Finneran of Atlanta, GA, Wanda Proulx and her husband, Michael of Ludlow; her dear brother-in-law, Joseph Zuchara and his wife, Claire, of Stanley, ND; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended family members. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her three dear brothers-in-law, John Zuchara, Lyle Dorn, and Timothy Finneran. Her funeral will be held on Friday morning, June 20, 2025 beginning at the St. Pierre - Phaneuf Springfield Chapels, (413-737-1177), 7 Chapin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107(funeral home will open at 8:15 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Saint Catherine of Siena Church, 1023 Parker Street, Springfield, MA 01129. Her burial will follow the Mass at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 421 Tinkham Road, Springfield, MA 01129.
