Obituary


AnneMarie "Nancy" (Marlowe) Martini of Woburn passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, June 13th at the age of 92.

Nancy was the beloved wife of the late John C. Martini. A lifelong Woburn resident, she attended Woburn schools and loved to go watch the Woburn High School baseball games. This is where she met the love of her life, John. They were married in 1948, raised their six children and enjoyed over 75 years of marriage.

Nancy was devoted homemaker who loved raising her children and spending time with her family. She cherished the summers in West Yarmouth, MA, where her family enjoyed many fun days at Seagull Beach. She and John were Friday night regulars at their favorite restaurant, Kitty's in North Reading. She also looked forward to Saturday nights where she loved her ritual of playing cards with her friends. In her spare time, Nancy volunteered as the librarian at the Linscott-Rumford Elementary School and at the Winchester Hospital Coffee Shop. She was a devoted Catholic and she worked at the St. Anthony's Festival for many years selling chickens with her husband. She was an avid reader of romance novels and loved to shop. She did a lot of traveling with her husband. Through the years, they traveled to London, Bermuda, France, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Italy, Las Vegas, and Hawaii. They also enjoyed their winters at Clearwater Beach, Florida.

Nancy is survived by her children Annemarie Martini-Collins, Michael Martini, Marion and Jonathan Park, Julie and Gary Caldwell, and Kathy and Rob DeLuca, Jr her grandchildren Jennifer Collins, Deanna Martini, Ricky and Rose Martini, Michael Caldwell, Jaclyn Tramonte and Robbie DeLuca III and her great-grandchildren Reagan, Rhett and Ryder Martini. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son John C. Martini, Jr.

Friends and family are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, June 20th, at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 851 Main St, Woburn, MA, from 10:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. with a Mass following at 12 p.m. Interment services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Jude https://stjude.org and the National Kidney Foundation https://kidney.org .
