Obituary

Frank L. Liotta, 94, a longtime resident of Franklin, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 5, 2025. Frank was a U.S. Navy veteran who served his country during the Korean War and later returned home to marry his sweetheart, Jean M. Liotta, with whom he enjoyed 70 wonderful years of marriage.

Frank was also a member of the Franklin Elks #2136. Through the Franklin Elks, he served as a Past District Deputy, Past Exalted Ruler, Trustee, Honorary Life Member, and chaired the Bingo Committee for over 25 years. With the Elks’ slogan “Elks Care, Elks Share,” Frank made significant contributions to Franklin and the surrounding communities. He was heavily involved with the Massachusetts Veterans Association and regularly visited hospitals, where he played bingo and other games, and supplied clothes, food, and gifts. Frank also engaged with various food pantries, and through his generous donations, he was able to feed multiple families during the pandemic crisis and other challenging times.

Frank is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Liotta Tusia, and her husband, Jim, as well as his son, Larry Liotta, and his wife, Kim. He was a proud grandfather of six beloved grandchildren: Adam Tusia, Alex Tusia, Lindsey Liotta Vogt, Joshua Liotta, Jacob Liotta, and Matthew Liotta. Frank also cherished five great-grandchildren: Henry Vogt, Emmett Vogt, Caleb Vogt, Ellie Jean Liotta, and Charlotte Jean Tusia.

Frank Liotta has served both his country and community with dignity, pride, and generosity. His legacy of hard work, quiet strength, and devotion to his family, the Elks, and the community will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.
