David T. Bivens, 64, of Foxboro, Massachusetts passed away on Jun 9, 2025 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital. Son of the late Alex and Iris (Ginn) Bivens, and one of 14 children raised in Garrison, KY. He attended Lewis County schools and earned a bachelor’s degree from National University. He served in the US Navy as a Boatswain’s Mate.
David was the beloved husband of Amy Perry of Foxboro, and loving father of Tiffany Vaughn and her husband Michael of Westland, MI. Proud ‘Grandpa Dave’ of Hunter and Brooklyn Vaughn.
He is survived by siblings Mike (Gloria) Bivens of KY, Ronald (Josie) Bivens of OH, Pete (Cathy) Bivens of KY, Edna Blevins of KY, Linda (Wes) Carter of KY, Roger (Amy) Bivens of NC, John (Stella) Bivens of KY, Keith (Tracy) Bivens of KY, Mark Bivens of KY, Robert (Tammy) Bivens of KY, Susie (John) Penrod of KY, and Jerry (Marcia) Bivens of KY. He also leaves many special nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Donald Bivens of KY.
David loved cooking, eating, working on vehicles, plowing snow, gardening, and could work circles around anyone, anytime. His grandkids were his favorite people and he enjoyed visiting, Facetiming, reading stories with silly voices, swimming, and all kinds of fun adventures with them. His laugh and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.
Services will be held in his home state of Kentucky.
