Ann M. Quinlan 74, of Natick, passed away peacefully Saturday June 7, 2025 at Mt. Saint Rita Heath Centre in Cumberland, Rhode Island following an illness.
Born July 26, 1950 in Boston, a daughter of the late Bernard and Eleanor (Travaglia) Quinlan.
She was raised and educated in Dorchester and was a supervisor, having worked for the United States Postal Service and retired from the Natick Post Office.
Ann was a proud American and enlisted in the United States Army, she attained the rank of Specialist and was part of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). She was awarded the Overseas Service Ribbon, the Army Service Ribbon, the Marksman Badge M16Rifle, and the Army Commendation Medal. She was honorably discharged in 1983.
Ann’s kindness, creativity and love for her family and friends knew no bounds, she was fiercely loyal and loved celebrating life. She also enjoyed the outdoors and water sports. She was proud of her 20 year sobriety award and mentored & sponsored numerous people to change their lives for the better.
Ann is survived by her siblings, Kathleen M. D’Aniello and her husband Joe, Regina Cuff and her husband Don, Eleanora Morrison, Margaret Ormberg, Robert Quinlan and his wife Kathy and John Quinlan.
She was the sister of the late Bernard, James, William, Charles, Christopher, Michael, Warren, Richard Quinlan, Mary Lou Sanborn, and Patricia Tammaro.
Ann also leaves her extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours Monday June 16th, in the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. from 10AM-12Noon.
A funeral service will follow at 12Noon.
Burial with military honors at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, will take place at a later date.
