Obituary

Nicole “Colie”Kelly (Mignault), age 32, beloved wife, radiant daughter, fiercely loyal friend, and uncontainable force of creativity—passed away peacefully surrounded by those who loved her most on 6/7/2025, after facing cancer with bravery, humor, and strength.
A magnetic soul with a closet full of color and a heart even bigger, Colie’s presence in life was unforgettable. Her style was a statement, her wit razor-sharp, and her spirit wildly, unapologetically her own.Colie was a unique, creative, beautiful soul. She loved deeply and followed her dreams passionately. From the time she could hold a crayon, Colie was an artist. She channeled her boundless creativity into fashion—earning her Bachelor of Art degree in Fashion Merchandising and Retail from Lasell University in 2015 and going on to design children's clothing for TJX Companies. Somewhere, right now, a kid is twirling in a joyful outfit Colie dreamed up. That is her legacy: vibrant, playful, and full of love.
Colie loved deeply and cherished her family and friends. She met the love of her life, Mike Kelly, in Salem in 2012 and they were married in a beautiful, intimate, eccentric ceremony in Las Vegas in 2019, which fully represented their distinctive love. Mike was her home, her soulmate, and her most trusted dog dad. Together they raised beautiful dachshunds fur babies Oliver & Phoebe, who brought light to her life and whom she loved deeply.
Colie adored her family fiercely. She shared an unbreakable bond with her mother, Ledia Hudson Mignault—a relationship filled with laughter, wisdom, and unconditional love. She was also a loving daughter to her father, Bill Mignault, and a proud big sister to her brother, Bill Mignault Jr.
An authentic original, Colie had passions as eclectic as she was—true crime documentaries, Hello Kitty, Diet Coke in alarming quantities, and fighting like hell for women’s rights. She was a proud feminist, an empathetic soul, and a defender of everyone who needed a champion. Her friends weren’t just friends—they were family, and her loyalty knew no limits.
Colie lived loudly, laughed often, and made the ordinary magical. Whether she was binge-watching with Mike, crafting the perfect eyeliner wing, or serenading her pups, Colie sparkled. She painted the world with vivid color, boldness, and heart.
Her absence leaves a silence that echoes—but so does her joy. Her energy, her art, her laughter, her love—they linger in every person lucky enough to have known her.
Colie is survived by her adoring husband, Mike Kelly; her devoted mother, Ledia Hudson Mignault; her loving father, Bill Mignault; her brother, Billy Mignault; her two fur babies; and a large, loving circle of family and friends who will miss her forever—and celebrate her always. Her Celebration of Life will be private.
