BETHEL-Christopher Shane Mathon 39-years old. Passed away on June 6, 2025, at his home unexpectedly In Bethel of a heart attack.
He was born in Portland Maine on May 29th, 1986, a son of Susan (Sprague) Mathon and Bill Mathon.
Catherine (Cat) Lange was his fiancé and the love of his life, he looked forward to marrying her.
He graduated from Windham High School, he went on to drive taxi in Portland Maine. He also was a handy Man for many friends and neighbors.
Many times he would say if you ever need a place to stay I will take you in, even if he only had a couch or recliner to offer.
Chris had a true love affair with animals. He had many cats and a dog he rescued and then loved dearly.
One of his favorite hobby was to do to go fishing, he loved it very very much. It didn't matter if it was in the summer time, when the streams were running or at a lake. And it also didn't matter if it was in the winter time for ice fishing. He loved all types of fishing.
He loved Harley Davidson motorcycle.
He is survived by his parents, Susan and Bill Mathon, his older brother, Fredd Wright, and his younger brother Ryan Thompson. His Grandmother Lois Doughty and many cousins aunts and uncles. And great uncles.
A memorial service was held on Thursday June 19th at 1:30 PM at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, in Buxton.
