Anne C. Mosier, 96, a lifelong resident of Worcester, died May 14th after a short illness at Care One in Millbury.
Born in Worcester, to Anthony and Catherine (Moylan) Mosier, Anne lived in the Tatnuck neighborhood and graduated from Commerce High School in 1947. Also calling home, Pleasant Street, Lincoln Square neighborhoods, and the much-loved Colony III retirement community. Wherever she lived in Worcester, she quickly became a borrower of the nearest public library. She liked mysteries and later discovered the joy of large print.
She regularly attended Christ the King Church and Saint Joan of Arc Parish. Anne spent much of her life working in customer service for Davis Press, Hillcrest Dairy, Hood Dairy and Lundgren, and Jonaitis Dairy. She left the dairy business in 1976 to work for ADP until her retirement in 1991. During her life she loved spending time with her dear friends, Ann O’Brian, Dotty Mahoney and Dorothy “Ducky” Rheau. They enjoyed traveling to New Hampshire, Cape Cod and Florida. She also spent many years swimming at the YMCA for exercise and diabetes control. A true New Englander, she always had time for a Dunkin coffee and a plain donut.
She is survived by her niece and nephew, Deb Baldwin and Pete Harris, both of Connecticut. She also leaves Rob Baldwin and Jean Schaefer; great nieces, Samantha Baldwin and Liz Harris; a great nephew, Seth Baldwin; and the Pond family, who loved her like family. She is predeceased by her parents; her aunt, Luella; her sister, Fran; brother-in-law, Norris; and a nephew, James.
There are no calling hours and burial will be private at St. John’s Cemetery. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is assisting the family with arrangements.
