Boonchoo Grasso passed away at the Lawrence General Hospital on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. She was 84 years old.
She was 1 of 6, born in Suphan Buri, Thailand on December 1, 1940. Boonchoo worked as an assembler of circuit boards for many years until her retirement from Agfa.
She was a devout christian and a long time member of the New England Baptist Church in Andover. She was quite the gardener growing all her favorite foods from Thailand. She was an exceptional cook. She always wanted to feed anyone who came by her house. A favorite of family and friends was her take on her famous baclava sticks, pad thai and lo-mein noodles. She was a loving mother and grandmother/great grandmother who will be missed by all.
She is survived by her loving children; Sunthorn Panpothong of Lawrence, Pratham and her husband Bounmar Phetakoune of New Market, New Hampshire and Mari-Ann Thibodeau of Londonderry, New Hampshire, grandchildren Madilyn and Alexis Thibodeau, Thanu Jensarikorn of Thailand, great-grandchildren Nipa & Natiga Jensarikorn, former spouse; Rosario A. Grasso of Salem, New Hampshire and brother-in-law; Anthony J. Grasso of Salem, New Hampshire. She was also the daughter-in-law of the late Anna and Angelo Grasso.
Her funeral service will be celebrated in the New England Bible Church, 60 Chandler Road, Andover on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 10 AM. Visitation will be held in the church, prior to the service, from 9 to 10 AM. Interment will be in the Bellevue Cemetery.
