Leslie Dale Britt Parten, 64, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Thursday, June 5, 2025, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Monday, June 9, 2025, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with the Rev. Rex Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Fitzgerald. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Sunday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Parten was born February 3, 1961, in Miami, Florida, to the late Leslie & Eunice Eberhardt Britt. She retired from Shaw Industries where she worked as a spinner and operator. She enjoyed visiting the beach and the mountains in Helen as well as fishing. Mrs. Parten liked getting her nails done, shopping at Wal-Mart and Belk’s, and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Hugh Parten of Fitzgerald; children: Bryan & Candice Britt of Fitzgerald, Amanda & Brian Hester of Ocilla, Holly Parten of Clearwater, Florida, Madison Parten of Fitzgerald and Bridgett Parten of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: LouLou Britt, Luke Britt, Layken Britt, Austin Parten, Maddie Parten, Reese Hester, Grayson Hester, Emberly Hester, Henry Hester, Eva Hester, Jacklan Watson, Tom Parten, and Max Parten; one great-grandchild on the way; and siblings: Gail & Tim Whitley of Irwin County, Dwayne & Raynell Britt of Milledgeville, and Torrie & Brad Holton of Irwin County. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons: Jeffrey Dale Parten and Ashley Hugh Parten.
