Angel Luis “Chino” Perez aka Bucky, 55, of Lowell, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. For 39 years, he shared a loving companionship with Denise Lebel of Lowell. Bucky will be remembered for his loyal heart, his love for his family, and the joy he brought to those around him.
Born and raised in Lowell, Bucky attended the local schools, including Lowell High School. He was a proud part of the Lowell community and cherished the friendships he made throughout his life.
He was a regular at the Plainridge Park racetrack, a passionate Kansas City Chiefs fan, and shared a special bond with his beloved little dog, Mahomes. He found joy and connection through his time at the Active Day program in Lowell, where he made many close friends and was a beloved member of the community.
In addition to his devoted companion Denise, Angel is survived by his mother, Carmen (Perez) Martinez of Lowell; his children, Diana Catalano and her husband Tyler of Chelmsford, Angela Perez of Lowell, Kayla Perez of Lowell, and Angel Perez Jr. of Lowell; and his siblings, Juan Flores of Mattapan and Carmen Ward and her husband Steven of Nashua.
He was a proud grandfather to McKenzie Perez, Kaiden Perez, and Isaac Colon. He also leaves behind Denise’s mother, Shirley Lebel of Lowell; his uncle, Pedro Perez of Lowell; his aunt, Migdalia Martinez; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him deeply.
Bucky was predeceased by his brother, Carlos Perez, who passed away in 1990, as well as his uncles Miguel Perez and David Perez.
