Barbara Ardelle “Morton” Pinkham
October 19, 1936 – May 26, 2025

Barbara, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and lifelong caregiver passed away peacefully at Lawrence & Memorial at the age of 88.

Born October 19, 1936, Barbara graduated from high school in 1955 and went on to pursue her calling in nursing, graduating in 1957 from the Boston School of Nursing. Upon graduating she worked in the operating room at L&M, dedicating her life to the care of others. After years of dedication in various jobs, she found her professional home at Mary Elizabeth Nursing Home in Mystic where she worked until her retirement.

Barbara married her high school sweetheart, Norris on Valentines Day in 1958. They were long-time residents of Mystic where she balanced work with the joys and challenges of raising 3 boys.

Barbara and Norris spent their retirement years traveling across the United States & Mexico visiting places like Texas, Arizona & Utah. She cherished these adventures, which enriched her later years.

She was predeceased by her first son, Norris Pinkham Jr, husband Norris Pinkham, and Grandson Joseph Camerino.

She is survived by her 3 sons, Wayne and his wife Lisa of Block Island, James and his wife Rachel of Griswold & Todd and his wife Della of Gales Ferry.

Barabara was a proud Grandmother to 6 grandchildren & 8 great-grandchildren. Her legacy of love, kindness and resilience will live on through them.

The family will be holding a Celebration of Barbara’s life on Saturday, June 28th at Highland Lake Park in Ledyard. (639 Shewville Rd Ledyard, CT.) from 12-4 pm. All who knew and loved Barbara are welcome to attend and share in remembering her remarkable life.
