WATERBORO- Sidney Norman Pinkham, age 94, passed away surrounded by his loving family on June 3, 2025.
Sidney was born on March 20, 1931, in Bucksport, Maine to parents Sidney Edward Pinkham and Sarah (Cairns) Pinkham. He was raised alongside 10 siblings and grew up in a loving family.
In his adulthood he became a father to two children and was a collective business owner and was all about cars and attending auctions He started a Taxi service, owned multiple rental properties, and later began his favorite and most successful business, Pinkham’s Used Cars. His biggest passion was his work, and Cadillacs were his favorite! His family described him as a giver; not a taker, and as a kind, quiet, and gentle man all throughout his life. Outside of being a hardworking business owner, Sidney was an involved father and grandfather. He often enjoyed attending mud races with his son and grandson.
Sidney lived almost 70 of his 90+ years of his life in Hudson, Maine. He owned Pinkham‘s Trailer Park in Hudson and Pinkham‘s General Store in Hudson for 20 years.
He will be remembered for this work ethic, as he worked right up until he passed. The community will remember him for his giving character and for helping so many people over the years.
Sidney was predeceased by his wife Shirley Jean Pinkham, his parents Sarah and Sidney, and 8 of his siblings.
Sidney will be remembered by his two children- Kevin Norman Pinkham and his wife Paula of Millbridge, ME, and his recently reunited daughter Cindy Norma Bell and her husband Raymond of North Waterboro, ME, two sisters- Gloria St. Laurent and Vesta Ebert, multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as many loving friends.
