Ronald H. Farland, 83, of Westport, peacefully passed away at home on Monday, June 2, 2025 with his family by his side. He was the husband of Doreen H. (VerCammen) Farland, they shared 50 years of marriage.
Mr. Farland was born in Acushnet, son of the late Georgianna (Farland) Lamothe and had resided in Westport for 39 years. Prior to retirement, he worked as a unit assistant at St. Luke's Hospital, New Bedford. He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and he enjoyed salt water fishing. He was a communicant of St. George Church, Westport.
Survivors along with his wife include his children: Danielle A. Farland and her partner Nicole Goldsboro of Fall River and Jeffrey W. Farland of Providence; his twin brother: Donald Farland and his wife Ann of New Bedford; his granddaughter: Cassidy Goldsboro; along with many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Armand Farland and Theresa Shepard.
The family would like to thank Community Nurse Home Care for the hospice care that they provided.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, June 10, 2025 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. George Church, Westport at 10:30 A.M.
Calling hours Monday from 5-8 P.M.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
