Michael J. Sowa, 74, of Westport, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025 at St. Luke's Hospital, New Bedford. He was the husband of Margaret A. Sowa.
Born in Fall River, son of the late John F. and Henrietta (Dzialo) Sowa, he had lived in Westport since 1978. Prior to retirement, he was a production manager for Teknikor in Fall River. A dedicated a devoted husband and father, he would light up a room and make everyone laugh and smile. He was a well known coach in the Westport Babe Ruth League. Mr. Sowa enjoyed drag racing cars, cruise nights with old cars, weightlifting and was an avid New England sports fan. He was a member of The Good Guys Car Club.
Including his wife, he is survived by a son: Joshua M. Sowa of Fall River; a grandson: Deklan J. Sowa; and his loving dog: the late Dakota.
He was brother of the late Christine Kruger.
Private services will be held.
