BELCHERTOWN – Linda S. (Parent) Laurin, 73, of Belchertown, was Called Safely Home on Friday, May 30, 2025. She passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Wing Hospital in Palmer surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born in Holyoke on August 10, 1951, a beloved daughter of the late Edward and Viola (Cordonnier) Parent. She was raised and educated in Holyoke and moved to Belchertown in 1979 where she lived the remainder of her life. She was a longtime day care provider who truly loved caring for children. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends. She leaves her beloved husband and best friend, Robert L. Laurin. They were married in Chicopee on June 27, 1981 and were blessed with over 43 years of happiness together. She also leaves her two loving and devoted children, Sherry R. Laurin of Belchertown and John J. Laurin and his wife, Rose, of Woonsocket, RI; her cherished grandson, Johnny Laurin of South Carolina; her two dear brothers, Edward Parent of Springfield and Mark Parent and his wife, Debbie, of Chicopee; her dear sister, Diane Manzi and her husband, Phil, of Holyoke; her dear brother-in-law, Tony Krusz of Chicopee; her dear sister-in-law, Brenda Parent of Agawam; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers, Allen, Dennis, and David Parent; and three sisters, Joanne Krusz, Judith Nadeau, and Susan Parent. Her Funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, beginning at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 8:30 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Sainte Rose de Lima Church, 594 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her burial will follow the Mass at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. prior to her Mass.
