Adele R. (Zaff) Goldman of Lynn and formerly of Revere and Chelsea died at the age of 100 on May 29th. Adele was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Goldman and devoted mother of Anita Aronson and her husband the late Ron Aronson, Robert Goldman, and Laurie Donaher and her husband Paul.
Adele was extremely dedicated to her family and loved helping others. She loved animals and had a special fondness for dogs. As a member of the Greatest Generation, Adele cared deeply for the country and kept up with the news avidly until the end. Adele was a graduate of Chelsea High School, Class of 1942, where she made lifelong friends. She greatly enjoyed her lifelong career serving patients as a Registered Nurse. She was a graduate of the Beth Israel School of Nursing.
Adele was the loving daughter of the late Morris and the late Lena Zaff. She was the dear sister of the late Fred Zaff, the late Ann Cohen, and the late Beatrice Collier. She was also the devoted sister-in-law of the late Alvin Collier. She was the loving grandmother of Jonathan Aronson and Jennifer Carroll and great-grandmother of Joseph and Miriam Aronson. Adele also had great love for her nieces and nephews Barbara Collier, Richard Collier, Harriett Newman, John Zaff, Elizabeth Wilbanks, David Zaff, and the late Barbara Rothman. She is also survived by many loving cousins, great nieces, and great nephews.
A Private Graveside Funeral service for Adele will be held on Sunday, June 1st at 1:00 PM at Liberty Progressive Cemetery, 232 Fuller Street, Everett, MA. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or an animal charity dear to your heart.
