Cleo Tucker Roberts, 86, of Ocilla, Georgia, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Palemon Gaskins Memorial Nursing Home in Ocilla, Georgia with her family by her side.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, May 31, 2025, at the Ocilla Baptist Church in Ocilla, Georgia, with the Rev. John Gibbs Jr. and Brother Joey Veal officiating. Interment will follow in the Eureka Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Irwin County, Georgia. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 AM until the funeral hour.
Mrs. Roberts was born September 29, 1938, to the late Isaac and Hazel Smith Tucker. She graduated from Irwin County High school and later became secretary at the high school where she served for 15 years. After leaving the school system, she ran an at home day care for many years. She was lovingly known as “NaNa” by her little ones. She loved working in her yards and maintaining one of the prettiest yards you can imagine. She loved her family with all her heart. She was a dedicated and loving mother, homemaker, and wife. Her children, grandsons and great granddaughter were the loves of her life.
She is survived by her son, Marty & Kathy Roberts of Ocilla; daughter, Mandy & Andy Anderson of Ocilla; three grandsons, Matt & Ariel Roberts of Ocilla, Josh Wells of Chattanooga, TN, Justin Wells & Danielle Tureaud of Valdosta; one great granddaughter Joanna Roberts of Ocilla; two brothers, J.R. Tucker and Jerry Tucker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 36 years, Harmon L. Roberts, Sr.
