Obituary

HIRAM- Cynthia "Thia" Helen Perry Odlin, from Hiram, ME, went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 21, 2025. Born on July 6, 1949, to Kenneth and Angela Perry in Portland, ME. She attended South Portland schools and graduated in 1967. Furthering her education for one year at Northeastern Christian Junior college in Villanova, PA. She then returned to Maine and finished her college education at USM, graduating with a BA in Theater and Communications in 1977. Thia married James A. Bouffard in 1980 and lived in Westbrook prior to moving to Hiram with their three children in 1986. As a stay-at-home mom she started volunteering at the Baldwin Headstart where soon became a teacher for 17 years. Her love children and her theatric skills proved to be a perfect combo for early childhood education. During summers off she was a cook for several years at Fryeburg New Church Assembly. She finished her working years at the Whistle Stop in East Baldwin. She loved her customers and her many coworkers throughout the 17 years of being there. Thia was an active member of both The West Baldwin Methodist church and the Buxton Methodist Church until her final days. Her love and dedication to her lord was her guiding light. Never sitting still for long, Thia was an active volunteer and board member on several committees and programs. Her most favorite being the Food Pantry in Brownfield which serves a large portion of Oxford County. She lived a long and fulfilling life right to end. She fought hard battling multiple types of cancer the last several years. She was a survivor and kept fighting until her final days. She is at peace now and is dancing with her beloved husband Charlie once again watching over us all. A true guardian angel no doubt.
Cynthia is predeceased by her husband Charles W. Odlin, father Kenneth Perry and mother Angela Orr Perry. She is survived by her three children Kenneth, James -wife Samantha, Katy- husband Zack, eight grandchildren: Kadie, Gavin, Lucas, Zachary, Madison, Evan, Elizabeth and Nevaeh. Brother Frederick Perry of NC and his children, and lastly her cherished friends whom were also her family.
A service and reception to follow will be held on Saturday June 7, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Buxton Methodist Church on Chicopee Rd in Buxton.
