Mrs. Catherine (Shea) Petrycki, a cherished resident of Windham, New Hampshire, and beloved wife of the late John F. Petrycki, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. She was 94 years old.
Born in Charlestown, Massachusetts, on November 25, 1930, she was the daughter of the late William and Catherine (Cudmore) Shea. Throughout her life, Catherine exemplified kindness, compassion, and a deep spiritual faith. Her warmth and caring nature touched the lives of all who knew her, and she found great joy in spending time with her family and friends.
Catherine is survived by her devoted children: John F. Petrycki Jr. and his wife Denise of Campton, New Hampshire; Paul Petrycki and his wife Michelle of Salem, New Hampshire; and Kathryn Petrycki of Windham, New Hampshire. She was preceded in death by her youngest son Michael Petrycki in 2015. She also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren: James Reilly and his wife Diana of Windham, New Hampshire; Jessica and her husband Dan Butler of Weathersfield, Connecticut; Holly Petrycki of Portsmouth, New Hampshire; and Lauren and Robbie Petrycki, both of Campton, New Hampshire. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Avery and Wyatt Butler of Weathersfield, Connecticut.
Catherine is the devoted sister of Ruth Norris, Andover Massachusetts, and the late Elizabeth, William, John, Leo, and Gerald Shea, Dorothy Goguen, Helen Petrycki, and Irene Fearing. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass celebrating Catherine’s life will be held at St. Michael Church, 196 Main Street, North Andover, on Monday, June 2, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are warmly invited to attend. Calling hours will be held at Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, on the same day, Monday, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., prior to the mass. Interment will follow at Ridgewood Cemetery in North Andover.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Catherine’s memory may be made to St. Michael Church or to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10306.
