Obituary

Norman J. Vautrin, Jr., 83, of Westport, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025 at Massachusetts General Hospital. He was the husband of Linda M. (Platt) Vautrin; they shared 54 years of marriage.

Mr. Vautrin was born in Fall River, son of the late Norman and Rose (Cornoyer) Vautrin and had resided in Westport for the past 44 years. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served his country during the Vietnam War. Prior to retirement, he worked as an overhead lineman for National Grid. He was a car and boat enthusiast and being outdoors was a must, especially out on the water. He took pride in the home he built for his family and was known for being an industrious builder, repairman, and tinkerer.

Mr. Vautrin will be remembered as being a great husband, father, and provider.

Survivors along with his wife include his daughter: Jodi A. Vautrin and her husband Christopher J. Scott of Somerville, MA; his sister: Janet Grant and her husband Floyd of Barrington, RI; sister-in-law: Deborah Vautrin of Somerset; along with many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Brian Vautrin.

Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Monday, June 2, 2025 at the Potter Funeral Home at 11:30 A.M.

Visitation will be Monday from 10:30-11:30 A.M., prior to the service.

Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
