Richie P. Robertson, 67, of Whitman, loving husband of Janet (Baker) Robertson passed away on May 25, 2025 due to a motor vehicle accident.
Born in Brighton on November 12, 1957 to the late H. Richard Robertson and Carolyn (Suddy) Robertson. He grew up in Whitman and graduated from Whitman-Hanson in 1976. He went on to attend Massasoit Community College and the University of Maine.
Richie spent many years as the owner of Robertson and Sons Painting and later Robertson and Sons Precision Excavating.
On July 26, 1980 he married his high school sweetheart Janet at the Holy Ghost Church in Whitman. They went on to raise their beautiful family in Whitman after living for a short time in Perry, Maine.
Richie accomplished many things in life but his biggest accomplishment was his family which was his pride and joy. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Janet Robertson; sons Richard Robertson and wife Marisa of Whitman, Joshua Robertson and wife Stefanie of Whitman, Matthew Robertson and wife Lauren of Madbury, NH; daughter Lauren DeLuca and husband Matthew of Whitman; he was the adoring grandfather of Olivia, Tessa, Joseph, Luca, Harper, Sophia, Ava, Connor, Christian and Anthony in which his spirit lives on through.
He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Carol Baker, who is a very important part of his family; siblings Lynn Hanson and husband Paul, Carol Reed and husband Dan, Kenny Robertson and wife Lee, and sister Debbie Robertson. He was predeceased by his sister Janice Reed and her husband Scott.
Richie has finally found peace serving as guardian angel to his family left here on Earth.
Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, June 1st from 1:00-4:00 pm with a funeral service to follow at 4:00 pm at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. All are welcome to join the family at the VFW at 5:00 pm following the service.
