Joy Roxana Graham, 47, passed away on May 23, 2025. Her middle name, Roxana, means “dawn of day” and her mother and father called her “Joy in the Morning.” She was the apple of their eye.
She grew up and was home-schooled, graduating from Pensacola Christian College. She became a Christian at a young age, and attended Northside Baptist Church and later Crossview Baptist. She practiced cosmetology and studied nursing, and worked at Wal-Mart in Fitzgerald.
Her partner of many years was Joseph Mykytka. She is predeceased by her mother Nell Dean Graham, and her father, Ocie Lamar Graham.
She is survived by her brothers Danny and David, her sister Laura, her nieces Kristy (James) Reynolds and Kasey (Daniel) Mays, her great-nephews, Chance Reynolds, Dawson Mays, and Jaxson Mays and her great-nieces, Savannah Reynolds and Ava Kate Mays.
Memorial services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Crossview Baptist Church in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with Pastor Dusty Stoey and the Rev. Kathy Graham Naish officiating.
She is at rest and at peace, reunited with her parents, whom she loved dearly. We will miss her.
