Roy Lamar Hyde, 57, of Chula, Georgia, died Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at his residence.
Graveside services will be held 2 PM Saturday, May 31, 2025, at the Big Creek Cemetery in Irwin County, Georgia. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.
Mr. Hyde was born April 21, 1968 in Ocilla, Georgia, to the late Roy Edward and Susan McSwain Hyde. He enjoyed scuba diving and the north Florida springs, wood working, and reading. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. He was a great father, and was always willing to help anyone in need.
He is survived by a son, Casey Hyde; an aunt, Harriet Sheffield & Husband James; cousins: Jennifer & Gene Mizak, Michael & Monica Sheffield, and Dennis & Susan Mobley; a niece, Stephaine & Husband Josh Holt; and a brother-in-law, Steve LaHue. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Cindy LaHue.
