Darryl A. Huttunen, 65 of Windham, NH died Friday May 23, 2025, at Lahey Hospital, Burlington MA following complications of a lengthy illness. Darryl was born in Malden, MA on November 5, 1959, a son of Robert and Marilyn (Moore) Huttunen. He had resided in Windham for the past 19 years, formerly living in Groveland, MA.
Darryl started out as a machinist after high school. He worked at various machine shops before starting his own shop VST with Dave Sullo. He then joined Bose Corporation in Framingham as a Mechanical Engineer. He truly loved his job.
Darryl enjoyed freshwater fishing with his wife out on their boat on Sebago Lake in Maine or the lakes in NH. He also was big into bird hunting along with his buddy Jim Wallace. He was a great cook on the grill! Loved to have family over for barbeque or just hang out with the girls. His other hobbies were gardening and of course his large collection of lanterns. Always had to stop at an antique shop. He loved to travel. Among his many travels he’s been throughout the United States and also overseas. He will be greatly missed.
