Mr. Muzak A. Dilaveri, a longtime resident of Medford and devoted husband of the late Zhaneta (Fishta), passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday afternoon, May 25, 2025. He was 89 years old.
Born in Elbasan, Albania, he was the beloved son of the late Abdyl and Nekije (Hoxha) Dilaveri.
Muzak proudly served as the Head of Finance, a role he carried out with great dedication, intellect, and integrity. He was deeply respected for his leadership and the thoughtful precision he brought to his work. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Muzak was a man of depth and passion. A master chess player, he approached every match with quiet intensity. He was a loyal soccer fan who rarely missed a game, and he found comfort and beauty in classical music and opera. Known for his sharp wit, warm sense of humor, and love of cooking, Muzak brought light and laughter into every room.
He is lovingly survived by his daughter, Knida Dilaveri Stefani of Medford; his cherished grandchildren, Cadee Stefani and Rye Stefani, both of Medford; as well as his loyal dog Xhana and his dear nephew, Bujar and his wife Linda Vaqari of Melrose. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews in Albania. Muzak was predeceased by his siblings: Sabah Dilaveri, Nevruz Dilaveri, Donika Abdi, Hysnije Vaqari, Engjellushe Gaqi, and Tomor Dilaveri.
His Funeral Service will be celebrated at the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are warmly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday, May 30, 2025, from 4 to 8 PM.
