Loretta Riggs

Loretta Ann (Marshall) Riggs, age 78, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2025. She was born in Anderson, Indiana on November 5, 1946, the daughter of the late Reggel and Mary Marshall. On December 19, 1987, she married James Riggs, and he preceded her in death on February 3, 1997.
Her work ethic was as strong as her coffee—both of which fueled her through a long and dedicated career. A true Jill of all trades, she was known among her co-workers as the life of the workplace, always ready with a quick quip and a warm smile, even on Monday mornings.
She found joy in tending her flower beds, crocheting, and spending time with her family. Known for her enthusiastic sense of humor, she was always quick with a witty comeback. Her greatest passion was travel, and she cherished the many adventures she shared abroad with her late husband.
She is survived by her son, Brad Horton; daughter, Beverly Marshall; sister Brenda Farmer; grandchildren, Aaron (Poole), Lizzie, Ashli and Kash and great grandchildren, Aria and Nathan.
Loretta was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sisters Saundra Horvath and Cynthia Whetsel.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the caregivers and staff at Alexandria Care Center and Keystone Hospice for their compassionate care and support.
A memorial gathering for Loretta will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025 from Noon - 2 PM at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service , 229 S Rangeline Road, Anderson, IN followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM.
Burial will take place at a later date at Park Cemetery in Fairmount, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Lung Association.
