Muriel C. Breig

Muriel C. (Stoehr) Breig, 103, passed away May 23, 2025 following a brief illness. She was born on October 3, 1921 in Cranston, RI, the daughter of William and Rose (Kennedy) Stoehr.
She lived in Anderson for many years and was an office receptionist for Dr. Charles Austin. She also owned and operated the Caboose Bar. Muriel was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and enjoyed visiting the beach and drinking her wine.
She is survived by her son James Breig and son-in-law Bill Hall of Florida and Indiana, and her daughter, Rosemary Breig of Florida; special family friend, Tony Ford; grandchildren, Rich (Chris) Wages, Danny (Jennifer) Wages, Ray Irwin; great grandchildren, Alyssa, Elliot and Laura Wages, Alex Budd; and several nieces and nephews.
Muriel was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Breig in 2007, a grandson, Justin Irwin; siblings, Rosemary, William, and Charles; and two dogs, Domino and Nila.
Graveside services will take place at Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter, RI.
A local celebration of life will be held at a later date.
