Helen F. (Maguire) Carley, of Roslindale died peacefully at home with her daughter by her side on May 20, 2025. Beloved wife of the late William Joseph Carley. Devoted mother of Joan Carley and her husband Lee Hess of NH, Laureen Smith and her husband Dan of Marstons Mills, William J. Carley, Jr. and his wife Linda of Walpole, Mary Ellen Carley of Roslindale, David Carley and his wife Rebecca of Wayland, and the late Christine Bay. Dear sister of Barbara Harkins of FL, the late Mary Scanlon, Edna Ward, and William Maguire, Jr. Loving grandmother of Kelly Bay-Poulin, Melissa Bay, David Ryer, Carley, Joshua, Stephanie, and Daniel Smith, Jr., Daniel, Christopher, Natalie, James, and Ava Carley. Great grandmother of Dylan and Noah Poulin. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Helen will forever be remembered by her family, friends & neighbors as an exceptionally kind, caring & loving woman. She always had a smile and a kind word for all. She lovingly devoted her life to her husband, Bill and her family, and always had a loving ear for anyone that stopped by to chat over a cup of tea. Aside from her family, she was a local Friendlies waitress for 15 years, and a faithful practicing Catholic her entire life. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre Street, West Roxbury on Friday, May 30th at 9:00am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in Holy Name Church, 1689 Centre Street, West Roxbury at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment Private. Visiting Hours, Thursday May 29th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm in the Funeral Home.
