Gregory Scott Sims, 65, of Franklin, formerly of Dover died May 22 at Milford Regional Medical Center. Married to the love of his life, Dawn (DeLuca) Sims since 1991, also of Dover. Greg was a survivor of many health issues over the years but always managed to persevere with resilience and grace.
Born in Marshall, Texas, June 15, 1959. He was the son of the late John H. and Lorraine (Ballard) Sims.
For many years Greg helped manage his family’s business Pore Technology. He loved visits to his extended family in Vermont, especially in the winter where he would snowmobile. Greg and Dawn bought their Franklin 1851 fixer upper home in 1993. Many renovations were done by Greg and was a labor of love.
Greg’s greatest legacy was the joy he found raising and being with his children. He was a devoted father and husband. Lived his life with the goal of providing all of life’s necessities to them.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his loving children, Anthony G. Sims and Faith Rita Sims of Franklin.
Survived by his brother Gary Sims and his wife Lynda of Texas, his sister Barbara and her husband William DiSchino of Walpole.
Greg also leaves behind his extended Sims, DiSchino and DeLuca families, many friends and beloved cat Charlie all of whom will dearly miss Greg.
His funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 28 at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church.
Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Dover.
