Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alana Lee Todd, age 29, who left this world on May 21, 2025. Alana’s life, though far too short, was filled with warmth, creativity, and an enduring love for those around her.

Born in Rockland, Ma on April 19th, 1996, Alana was a bright light in the lives of her family and friends. She was also a lifelong learner—curious, thoughtful, and always seeking to understand the world a little better.

Alana pursued a degree in Criminal Justice at the College of St. Joseph in Vermont. After graduating, Alana began her career in law enforcement as a sheriff. Her compassion and dedication extended beyond her professional duties. Alana volunteered with the Hoosick Falls Rescue Squad in New York, offering her time, energy, and heart to provide emergency care to those in need. Her presence was a source of strength and comfort during some of life’s most difficult moments. Always seeking to grow and deepen her understanding, Alana later earned her master’s degree in Forensic Psychology.

She transitioned her career to focus on immigration, applying her skills and experience to assist in the processing of immigration applications and data.

Outside of work, Alana enjoyed riding her motorcycle, playing video games, listening to music, cooking, board games, softball, and she especially cherished time spent with her family and friends. Her laughter was contagious, and her heart was always open to those in need. Whether it was lending a hand, offering an ear, or simply showing up when someone needed her most, she gave freely and without expectation.

Her gentle spirit and compassionate heart left a mark on everyone she met. At the center of her heart was her dog, Kevin, her loyal companion and source of constant joy. Her warmth touched countless lives, and her spirit will live on in the many she supported and inspired. We remember Alana not for the way she died, but for the way she lived—with kindness, laughter, and deep empathy.

She is lovingly survived by her parents, Karen Savoie and Everett Todd; her siblings, Nicole Todd, Jessie Todd, Robbie Bono, and Toni Bono; her grampa, Charlie; and her nephew, Aizah Todd. She is also survived by her aunt, Nancy Savoie, and cousins, Sarah Zitoli and Michael Zitoli, along with countless friends and extended family who deeply cherished her presence in their lives.

Family and friends are invited to attend Alana's visiting hours on Wednesday, May 28th from 4:00-7:00 pm with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 pm at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks to please consider donating to Mental Health America in memory of Alana.
