Obituary

NASHUA ---- Faith J. Levesque, 95, of White Plains Drive, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025.

Faith was born on March 29, 1930, at the family home on Canterbury Road in Concord, the daughter of Ernest and Loretta (Arnold) Hammar.

At a very young age she earned the nickname “Flumpy” which stuck with her all of her life and she happily answered to it. She enjoyed being a “Heightsy” throughout her school days in Concord. She graduated from Laconia School of Nursing and married the man who fell in love with her at one of the school’s dances, Thomas Levesque. Together they moved to Saratoga Springs, NY then to Ballston Spa, NY where they raised their ever-growing family. After Tom’s unexpected death in 1975, Faith moved her family back to Laconia, NH.

Faith was employed at the Belknap County Nursing Home for the majority of her nursing career, lovingly caring for the elderly residents. After her retirement she volunteered at Hands Across the Table, St. Vincent de Paul, and WAMI. She was a member of, and oftentimes served as an officer, in the Catholic Daughters of America in Laconia and she was a member of St. Andre Bessette Parish. She spent countless hours with the CCD program at the church helping out with the preschool program. She taxied many friends and church members to and from events, church services, and errands in her little pink “Vroom Vroom” car.

Faith is survived by her sons, Thomas Levesque and his wife Carol of Londonderry, NH, Timothy Levesque and his wife Myrtie of Nashua, NH, and Vincent Levesque and his wife Michelle of Mendocino, CA, daughter Therese Ramsey and her husband David of Penacook NH, thirteen grandchildren, Joseph, Melina, David, Don, Thomas, Michael, Christina, Stephanie, Jeffrey, Kevin, Tim, Meredith and Jillian and seventeen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Faith is predeceased by all of her siblings, Selma Jameson, Arnold Hammar, Nyleen Dorais and Ernesta Dorais. Sadly, she also is predeceased by four of her children, Joseph, MaryLynn, Dan and Jim.
